Do I need a password or account to use MeritusNow?
No! MeritusNow can be used without a password or account. You only need a smartphone, tablet or PC with camera to use this service. If you have a MyChart account with Meritus Health you can also access the service that way, but it is not required.
Who can use MeritusNow?
MeritusNow can provide virtual care for patients 5 years and older in Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
How much does MeritusNow cost?
With insurance, a $15-20* co-pay will be charged to the patient via credit/debit card.
Without insurance, there is a flat-fee of $65 charged to the patient via credit/debit card.
*The exact co-pay amount may vary depending on the type of insurance and clinical complexity of the visit.
Can I get prescriptions?
If necessary, your provider will be able to prescribe medication that will be recorded in your chart. We will not be able to prescribe controlled drugs such as narcotics (Percocet, Vicodin etc.) nor sedative medications such as valium, lorazepam, Xanax, etc.
