Meritus Medical Laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and adheres to the requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) '88, and requirements of the State of Maryland. Meritus Medical Laboratory is enrolled in the CAP Proficiency Testing Program, the CAP Tech Sample Program, and participates in the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Check Sample Program. Copies of our licenses, certifications, and accreditations are available below. A quality control program specifically tailored to the scope of testing is maintained by each section of the laboratory. An active review process assures timely correction of untoward findings. Meritus Medical Laboratory is proud to be associated with the highly respected Nichols Institute of Quest Diagnostics. Nichols Institute provides reference laboratory services, clinical and medical consultation, continuing education, courier services, and many other value-added services.
